The Dogwood trees are blooming and so is the house!

As you can see the Dogwood trees are in full bloom and just beautiful. This one is right below the deck and several trees line the mountain side all the way down as far as the eye can see.

Come into the foyer and you can see the sconces that hang on the wall of the staircase which you can see are now stained. I just love the photo with the sun hitting the top of the staircase. Next is the “river” of tile that connects the tile and wood together. They did an outstanding job on this and it runs from the entry to separate the kitchen and dining rooms. The floors are now stained and look great….a lot of movement in the wood.

Next is the fireplace inside and the last of these three shows it from the outside in the screened in room. That room will certainly be a favorite!

Our treat was the vessel sink which you see has been placed on a black piece of furniture and has an oval shaped mirror hanging above it.

The master bath shown is almost finished and the glass walls and niches are now installed. The counter tops are in as well and they are a perfect match to the “toasty” wall color.

Next we go into the laundry room where you can see the sink, cabinets, and counter tops are installed.

Let’s head upstairs to one of the guestrooms. This is the “copper wire” theme color guestroom and shown here is the bath. It has a single sink with oval mirrors on either side. The cabinets and counter tops are installed and look great.

The center of activity will be the kitchen. The back splash is finished and is perfect to separate the counter tops and the cabinets as well to provide a different color/feel from the tile floor. You can see how things are shaping up in the kitchen.

And another treat for us was a pot filler. I am so excited to finally have one, I will be able to fill a pot with water and never have to visit the kitchen sink!

So you can see that the house is coming along. We will be going for the CO toward the end of the month. What a journey this has been.

Next time we will share the details of the upcoming open house for everyone who has touched the building of our home.

                Stay tuned…
