First Snow Covered Holiday in NC!

The snow blanketed the NC Mountains turning it into a winter wonderland.

Driving up the mountain to the top of the ridge was touch and go and once at the top all you could see was a snow covered unchartered frontier. The X5 BMW was put into manual gear and driven through over two feet of snow up the drive way and into the garage! You can see the tracks in the snow and Miss Z checking things out.

The winter wonderland looks so peaceful and serene. These are photos taken from the front porch.

Come in where it is warm and the fireplace roaring. The Christmas tree is decorated with bronze, silver, and clear balls that glitter with lots of lights.

The dining table is set for the wonderful meals that will take place over the holidays. The coffee table is adorned with silver, bronze and turquoise balls placed on a tray to pick up the turquoise accent of the couch pillows. Sitting beside the tray of balls on the coffee table are white angels.

The angels were given to my Mother on my first birthday and have been a part of Christmas décor every year. The kitchen has nutcrackers watching over all the cooking that will take place along with the red place mats at the bar inviting you into great conversation.

Miss Z supervised the decorating and had to stop and take it easy.

So we are ready to enjoy the holidays and hope you and yours do the same.

Happy Holidays and the best in the New Year of 2010!!
