The rainbow and more!

As you see from these pictures, the leaves are changing and in fact they are at their peak this week.

After a brief rain we looked out the window and saw a rainbow. I quickly grabbed the camera and captured it. I believe the end of the rainbow was at our home since they say there is a pot full of gold at the end. Our North Carolina home is certainly that!

We finished the professional photographs of the house taken by Beth Brown Photography and will soon submit them to Southern Living magazine, will keep you posted on that one.

This past weekend we were in the Parade of Homes and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The Parade began Friday through Sunday and the best part was meeting people who came to see it. We were amazed at how many either were living in Florida, wanted out of Florida or were from Florida! We had landscaper Bear Creek Design deliver two pumpkin topiaries to dress up the front porch. We also finished the landscape lighting and it looks great at night.

We finished the second guestroom that is referred to as the Lagoon Room because of the color of the room. The entertainment center is from my Mother and fits perfectly. Tim found the photos above the daybed that match perfectly; he has a great eye for those things.

On Saturday afternoon we took a break from the Parade and ventured out to do some shopping. We found the trunk that we had been looking for to be placed at the bottom of the master suite bed. And we got a second smaller one that fit inside the big one, both for one price, what a deal!

The wrought iron bench arrived and has been placed in the pebble garden. It is delightful sitting there looking out over the views.

We are looking forward to our Thanksgiving visit!
